Life, as it's happening.

Sorry it's been a couple of weeks since I last posted. I've had a lot going on recently!

This week on Tuesday I fell while running the mile in gym class outside. I wasn't watching where my feet were going and ended up tripping, landing squarely on the left side of my body. I'm covered in road rash and my knee now looks like this:

It's really painful unless I slather it in Neosporin and plaster it with gauze and an Ace bandage.

Also on Tuesday I had a presentation to give in my English class and the first part of my math final exam. Oh Algebra I. How I loathe you completely.

Yesterday was normal except that I had my last-ever choir concert. I'm going to a new school next year and won't be taking choir, so I'm finished with my career as a musician!

Today was the last half of my math final and a presentation in Science.

Next week brings no school on Monday and leaving at 4:30 AM on Tuesday morning for my class trip to Washington, D.C. I'm rahther (British accent) excited for the trip. (Please pause for spazz attack. AOWPIRHYETBNDAKVNV'LKPIQRYCBBIRHJGJP. Okay.)

And then June 4th is my end-of-the-year dance and the 5th is THE LAST DAY AT MY CURRENT SCHOOL. HURRAH.

My hope is to get back to regular posting this summer, in between summer school and swimming with my best friend.

Hope y'all (anyone who reads this blog- though I THINK it's dead... Haha.) are doin' well! (Better than my knee, at least.

Adios! :D

The Wonders of "Childrens' Authors"

Since Rick Riordan's new book, "Serpent's Shadow", was released Tuesday, I thought I'd write a list of "childrens'" authors (and their books) that I'll always love, no matter how old I become.

Jeanne Birdsall- "The Penderwicks", "The Penderwicks on Gardam Street", and "The Penderwicks at Point Mouette."

Rick Riordan- the Percy Jackson books, the Heroes of Olympus series, and the Kane Chronicles.

JK Rowling- Harry Potter. Duh.

Heather Vogel-Frederick- "The Mother-Daughter Book Club" series.

Gretchen Olsen- "Call Me Hope."

I really owe at least part of the person I am today to these authors, especially JK Rowling. So thanks for writing these, and please write more! :)

Holy Musical, B@man!

Gah. I. Love. Team. Starkid! I watched the world premier of their latest musical since February 2011, "Holy Musical, B@man", last night, and it was amazing. Not enough Lauren Lopez, and no Darren, Joey, Joe, or Brian, but other Brian was featured a LOT and he's great!

The more I think about it though, I really wish Lauren Lopez had been in it more! It was still an amazing show, and probably my favorite Starkid production. So go watch it!!!

Woah... I haven't blogged since Jaanuary 30...

I've been really really reallllllllllllly busy for a loooong time. Starting a new story (dangerous, isn't it?), tackling "Gone With the Wind", knitting scarves and hats for my young neighbors who don't realize how hot it is, and obsessing over The Hunger Games. Did anyone see that movie? How'd you like it?
